Whatsapp 'Holiday Mode', Linked Accounts And More: The Top Three Features To Expect

Whatsapp is working on three new features in an effort to improve the user experience and to better connect with consumers. According to a report by WA Beta Info, Facebook is planning to add WhatsApp, which is owned by Vacation and Silent mode, and the option to add accounts. In the coming days, all three features are expected to be available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone mobile platforms. You need to know about the upcoming features of Whatsapp.

Wake mode

W.A. Beta Info saw a new feature being tested in the iOS, Android and Windows Phone apps, which is known simply as the holiday mode. Generally, when you receive the message, chat will be automatically unsecured by WhatsApp. New holiday mode, if turned on, allows users to stop archived chat from appearing again even if they are muted. This should be useful when you are not willing to answer the messages without leaving the group altogether or blocking the person on the other side of the conversation. The report says that this facility is still in development.

Silent mode.

A related feature, which is already live on the Android mobile platform, is called silent mode. It basically allows users to hide app badges for mute chat. According to the report, Silent mode is automatically enabled by default, so there is no option to enable it manually. The silent guide is essentially an upgrade for the mute function.

Linked accounts

Finally, Whatsapp is working on the user's option to connect the Whatsapp account to external services such as Instagram. When there were frequent voice messages, the user had to play on each. Now, continuous voice messages will play in the sequence, and the user will not have to play every time. Another new feature is that when a user presses a message for a long time, a new design appears with the option of starring, deleting, forwarding, copying the message.

Previously, when a user is long pressed on a message, a horizontal popup menu with all the options will appear at the top. Now, a new vertical menu appears, which hides the background and highlights the selected message. The menu shows more options for star, reply, forward, copy, information and finally the right side options. Takes the user to the Delete option for messages by pressing on more.

Coming in dark mode, it was searched by W.A. Beta Info in alpha code for the latest WhatsApp version. The code shows that in the future, Whatsapp will add support for a dark mode and will have the option to preview the video in WhatsApp Notifications.

On Android and iOS versions, a holiday mode has also been seen on Whatsapp, which will ensure that archived chat will not be visible again, even if the mode is muted when it is turned on. Another feature in the works on Android is the Silent Mode, which will allow users to hide app badges for mute chat and it will be enabled by default.

Qualcomm has announced its new Snapdragon 675 mobile platform for the upcoming mid-end smartphone. New smartphones featuring the latest chipset will be available in the beginning of 2019. The announcement was made during the 4G / 5G summit of the company in Hong Kong.

With Snapdragon 675, Qualcomm focuses on mobile gaming. According to Qualcomm, the new processor will ensure that the game will load up to 30 percent faster and run on the fastest frame per second with increased connectivity and patchy audio. Qualcomm has claimed that it has helped game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine 4 and developers to make the game better (for example, PUBG) on the Snapdragon 675 processor.

Kedor Kondap, vice president of product management, Qualcomm Technologies said, "Snapdragon 675 plays a primary role in allowing the OEM to design next-generation features with incredible performance in their upcoming smartphone."

The new chipset is also focused on the camera and AI. Snapdragon 675 will support triple cameras with 5x telephoto, 2.5x wide angle and super wide-angle lens. In addition, camera hardware will support 480fps slow motion (720p) on front cameras, portrait mode and face-face unlock feature. Snapdragon 675 is said to be 35 percent faster for web browsing.

As you would expect, Snapdragon 675 comes with a multi-core AI engine that will provide 50 percent overall improvement in AI apps according to Qualcomm.

OPPO K1 has been launched in China with good specification at low price as the company's first smartphone.

OPPO's new handset is the presence of a USP in-display fingerprint sensor. Specifically, it comes in 4 GB RAM and 6 GB RAM variants. Oppo  K1 is a mid-range handset that will compete with the smartphone in Rs 20,000. The pre-order for the smartphone has already started in our country and will go on sale at the end of this month.
