The company's gaming brand Republic of Gamer (ROG) unveiled the handset in Computex for the first time in June. Asus ROG Phone Android 8.1 runs the Oreo-based ROG gaming UI. One of the key features of Asus ROG phone includes a gaming cell vapor cooling system with a detachable AeroActive cooler for additional cooling. In addition, the smartphone comes with side-mounted ports and two programmable ultrasonic AirTriggers and advanced force-feedback haptics. There is also an optional twin view dock for dual screen handheld mode. There is a mobile desktop dock for desktop-style gaming and the GameVice controller is for big-screen gaming using 60-giga Wi-Fi with Wi-gig dock. The smartphone also includes Asus Aura RGB Lighting and Aura Sync Support and ASUS Hyper Charge Direct-Charge Technology.
