Vivo is ready to launch its 5G smartphone after these three companies.

Some popular smartphone brands have confirmed their intention to launch the 5G smartphone by 2019. These include Samsung, OnePlus and Huawei. However, Vivo seems to be in the same race but behind. This year, the company, which offers an in-screen fingerprint display in the smartphone, can launch its first 5G smartphone in 2020.

This news came directly from Vivo during the International Seminar on ICT Technology. The Chinese technical firm said that although it will introduce a pre-release 5G smartphone in 2019, commercial equipment will be available in 2020. It was also mentioned that in the last two years, the company has filed more than 1500 proposals to 3GPP standardization organization.

Vivo has not yet told details about the device.

That said, the first 5G smartphone in 2019 was coming from Samsung. South Korean technical firm has already confirmed that it will be launched 'at the beginning of 2019'. After this there may be OnePlus and Huawei. Although there is no timeline given by OnePlus, Huawei has confirmed that its 5G smartphone may come in June.

A report from September indicated that Huawei's first 5G smartphone could be a foldable device. On the World Economic Forum, Ken Hu, chairman of Huawei, confirmed this. Hu said that the company's first 5G smartphone will also be a foldable device. They reaffirmed that everything is going on according to the plan and by the middle of 2019 a new smartphone is expected to be launched.

It is also rumored that Samsung is working on three smartphones. While Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 + will be launched first, their 5G version will be available for a while. However, the company has not yet confirmed any of this.

Although both of them are working hard on the foldable 5G smartphones, OnePlus has not yet told any details.
